Maybe now Prince Maybe Finally after all these years Prince will be ADMIRED and RESPECTED for his playing abilities. Watching him SOLO on While My Guitar, I had this feeling that alot of that Audience didnt know the MAN could PLAY. Now Im not gonna compare and stuff like that, but, THAT solo is Beyond any SOLO played. The one thing I have always gotten from PRINCE's playin is the feeling, PRINCE doesnt need to be one of those SPEED PLAYERS like U hear in those metal bands that actually get more respect as players than PRINCE does, PRINCE's playing comes from within Obviously, from Pain, Happiness, Sadness, U name it, its inspirational. So when these magazines put out there 100 best _____ of all time, I laugh when PRINCE is not even on there and others who have NO CLUE are on there, and Im not gonna name names, because I dont wanna start that whole type "thread" but I think U all know the ones I mean. No doubt. That performance was out of this world, and if there was any doubt prior to now, all doubt can now be safely removed. How could ANY respected music lover not be moved by that solo???
It's almost like that solo was payback for years and years of negativity towards Prince. That one solo pretty much just shut up every naysayer around the globe. "You've got to believe in something... why not believe in me?" | |
