Prince is in the pop/rock HOF and Black Sabbath is not?

Youre right prince is in and sabbath is not, and you're about the 3rd person who has said that... not sure how the two are connected...

regardless sabbath was immensely influencial to metal and grunge bands... but i'd say prince has influenced far more genres including metal and grunge... he's also sold about 75 million more cd's cassettes and lps... that said sabbath does deserve its place and will surely recieve it... but dont you think they inducted enough dusty old white guys this year? i think the better question you should be asking is "why is zz top in the rock n roll hall of fame and not black sabbath."

I think everybody ever inducted in deserves it!!! There are definitely groups that should be in that are not, in fact here's my list:

Black Sabbath
Van Halen
Kiss
O'Jays
Chi-Lites
Moody Blues
Chubby Checker
Kraftwerk

I think sooner ar later they will all be in. For Prince to make it in on his first try is really saying something about the man and his music and the respect he has from his peers. Just because your favorite isn't in, don't be hating on the ones that are in.

i think Prince was great from what i have seen so far but i also think that he was hamming it up a bit on the george harrison tribute at the end. i can't remember what the original sounds like and what the guitar solo does but i think there was definately some hamming going on.

still tho, what do you expect from Prince. i'm sure the other musicians expected that kind of thing from P. did you see the look on Tom Petty's face? he's like

Tom Petty may have been rolling his eyes but Dahni Harrison, George's son was smiling from ear to ear. Seeing as he is George's son, and he was loving what Prince was doing, doesn't that make it alright?
