Yes, it is true. It was in the news a little while back. I'm not big on this particular sect of Christianity, but I'm not God and therefore, I try not to judge the many ways that people are lead back to him. If he's truly found the Lord in this way, then more power to him. Something must be right because he looks really happy now. He actually talks and smiles now. lol! biggrin

bored yes, for quite some time now. Nothing like a little religious intolerance on the org to start the day.

Prince first started studying with the JWs in 1998. This is the reason he has stopped swearing, and has changed the lyrics to some of his songs in concert.

He called Wendy that's all I care about, if he shaves his head and starts chanting and handing stuff out at the airport that's his business, just call Lisa too next time too. nod

I have become less problemed with Prince's conversion to JW since he's stopped shoving it in my face this year. So, if he can respect my decision to NOT be a JW, then I'll respect his decision to be one.

Ditto and amen, brotha!

I've done some research and even studied the bible with a jw... all I can say is I'm praying for you Prince. Learn to trust your spirit again, instead of following a man-made religion.

The spirit will guide you, if love is inside you, until then... life's a parade!"

If Prince is a witness, he is a witness that goes beyond any religion's definition of witness (including JW, JD, catholicism, anglican etc.). Imho.

I love this kind of thing - it was in the news, therefore it must be true!

Although it makes no actual difference either way, I am rather interested in whether or not he's a JW because I'm not convinced either way, although its clear that there's definately an influence there (at least).

The thing that makes me wonder whether he is or not though is that as one of the important parts of JWinism (made that word up) as far as I'm aware is spreading the word, I would have expected him to anounce that he was a JW more blatently to influence even more people.

That said, if he wasn't you'd expect some kind of denial so it works both ways.

I do love the evidence people give though, such as he's been seen knocking on doors etc. Seen by who? News reporters again? A good source?

Are people actually questioning whether it's true he's a JW? I read an article about an MPLS area woman whose family was visited by Prince, doing some door-to-door testifying.

Wait, you mean there are others like me. I've been looking for my local Capri Sun chapter ever since I moved to Tampa in 91.

If you keep a framed picture of yourself, from the front page of the Minneapolis newspaper, handing out a little magazine called "The Watchtower"... you might be a Jehova's Witness. That picture was framed and hanging inside Paisley Park at the last Celebration in 2002.

You do your own research, but I found out everything I need to know about JW's to stay clear away from them. It's too bad that the wise man, who once told me that "Love is God, God is Love," is now asking me "what's God's name?" at his performances. But I will continue to pray for him.

Amen! Prince seems to be more happy now than ever before, so if that is because of Jehova I wish him all the best with his newfound religion!

Of course not. But if it were a lie, Prince would already be suing them.

Yes I did, he had it on display with other pictures along with his guitars, drums, other instruments. Who else was at the Celly in 2002? They can tell you about it as well.
