I've Only Seen Purple Rain And Under The Cherry Moon, Can't Seem 2 Find Graffiti Bridge. But If I Had 2 Choose I Think Purple Rain Over Under The Cherry Moon.

I prefer UTCM. The campy humor works for me, the music is AMAZING and it's so much fun to see Kirstin Scott Thomas before she became "a serious" actress....

Purps by a longshot. G Bridge is horrible. I can't wait for the DVD.

pr (the movie) = the soundtrack on its own is a different affair for me, tho'.

utcm = it's so campy....i loves me some campiness.

gb = ...i still cannot believe i made myself sit through that entire movie without turnin my head away...i've seen it once, and it'll stay that way.

grafitti bridge was the best!

Under the Cherry Moon..hands down..is my fave...but i must say..each time i watch purple rain..i find something else that amuses me...

like..

when he rolls up on his mom's sittin on the curb...and he stomps his mad ass into the house lookin for his dad..to do what..i have no idea but my brutha prince..executed a perfect 360 degree turn in the hallway..and still had time to stop and pose so the cameraman could get the shot

under the cherry moon. Higly underated. Initially the critic's reviews had it being a better movie than purple rain. Which if you watch them now, it is. Purple Rain is more like an extended music video and "Cherry Moon" is more like a movie. graffiti bridge I've only watched 2 times. If I'm gonna watch a prince movie, It ain't that one!

Loved UTCM as well as PR. Another question about a scene in PR: Why did his dad's body have it's outline drawn in chalk when the suicide attempt didn't result in death? Maybe an editing faux pas?

I still haven't seen Under The Cherry Moon( ) but between Purple Rain and Grafitti Bridge I would definitely have to say Purple Rain.

If i had 2 choose, then i would go for Under the cherry moon, just cause it is soo funny, but purple rain is a close second.


Dont watch GB, when i got the vid, i really wanted 2 watch it, it looked really interesting, but it is really crappy, about 2 or 3 scenes set out side the studio lol, really dnt watch it.

But i have a question about GB, was that bridge in the movie, ment 2 be the same bridge in Purple rain, where that woman jumps in the lake???

This movie is SO BAD, it's not even FUN-BAD; UTCM on the other hand, is full of great visual style, costumes, etc!

i love me some utcm! even outside of prince-world, it is one of my favorite movies! so campy! that would be my first pick. then purple rain. and, contrary to popular opinion, i enjoy graffiti bridge. it's just awful. so bad. bad writing. bad direction. great music. i watch when i feel a little down. it cheers me up.

Overall: Sign O The Times, bar none!

Full Labios, UTCM is bad, whereas Graffitti Bridge is really AWFUL! The writing is for third graders, the acting is for second graders and the way it's shot is for first graders. Only a maniac would say its worthwhile. Stick with the soundtrack and that's all you'll need!

I will NEVER 4get going 2 c this movie on opening night in November of 87 with my girlfriend Trish and my buddy Brice after ditching our cast party of "The Wizard of Oz" and catching the last show of the night.....then going back the next day and watching it twice more !!!
