Life saving songs Are there any prince songs that ave stopped u from doin sumthing stupid, like suicide or breaking up with some1 u love etc? (and wot song)
Prince song pull me frew the day, and gets me frew stress. I aint never been suicidle tho, or nethinglike that. I find that purple rain and little red corvette help.  | |

Yes. When I was younger "Positivity" actually made me stop and think about a very bad decision I almost made.

Prince's music does help me greatly when i'm depressed...which is quite often with me. 
He has made alot of very uplifting songs...just playing a particular track/album can make me feel a whole lot better about myself...as sad as that seems.  love is god, god is love, girls and boys love god above | |

Music not only gets to your ears, but to your soul. It can help you thru hard times, thru break ups, thru love and pain, thru lost and anger, it can help you be a better person. I've never been suicidal, but I have been very close to homicidal a time or two. And yes it did take some Prince music to calm the savage beast within me. Which songs, I really don't remember, but I do recall thinking that if I ended up in jail for something dumb like that, I wouldn't be able to enjoy Prince as I do, and being free to enjoy Prince was much more important to me then the a-holes that had me that angry in the first place. So yes Prince has saved my life and the lives of some idiots that don't even know it. | |

all of us have gone through a time of depression in life, feeling lonely, or simply having a horrible day, i think you grow closer to an artist when you turn to their work to lift you out of whatever 'funk' you are currently in. prince has been there for me countless times, to pat me on the back and let me know tomorrows another day, its not as bad as you think -- just wish he there was a way to thank him  One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111
