If someone is kind enough to try and start up a wristband project, why not participate? Why do you guys let your friends cut in front of you and get mad when someone calls you on it? Why do some fans get upset because some people don't want to stand at a show? I think fans should handle themselves with a little more decorum and act like adults.
The Bay area is really bad for that...the first time, we got in a scuffle outside the venue with some "fanatics." They were obviously waiting around at the door so they could push their way in when it opened, so we were prepared for it. We dissuaded them from trying to go in front of us. This past concert at the Fillmore, people were trying to cut thru the crowd to get in front; many fights ensued. I think it's terribly stupid to risk confrontation in such a positive atmosphere, as if you fuck it up by being rude, you risk having quite a few irate people coming down on you. Man, I have had to definitely let my thoughts be known quite a few times seeing Prince. But I never, ever let anyone get thru or in front. And if they somehow do, my friends and I make sure they hear about it the rest of the night. | |
