From the Rock Hall: Prince Inductee Display is First to be Set Up! The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame sets up an entire wing of exhibits dedicated to each year's class of inductees. They haven't yet finished the wing this year (most of it is still blocked off by tape and construction equipment), but they were QUICK to get Prince's stuff up!
Prince's display case features: * His shiny purple 1999 coat with shoulder studs * A shined up lemon yellow cloud guitar (gorgeous!) * Several vinyl pieces, including the 12 inch of "Partyman" and a bunch of old 45s (nothing particularly rare) * The gun microphone * A purple-and-yellow androgyny symbol "tamboracca" * A rare Rolling Stone cover with him, bare-chested, on the cover * 3 handwritten pages from Prince's notebook plotting out the lyrics to "Days of Wild" (pretty good handwriting and, yes, he write in Princebonics!) Prince's case is currently shared with Jan Wenner, the founder of Rolling Stone (they've got a bunch of magazine covers up) and George Harrison (whose guitar, clothing and vinyl pieces are on display.) The Rock Hall will likely add more throughout the year, including a backlit relief of their signatures to be included in the beautiful and ghostly Hall of Signatures.
