This man deserves the honors. He made himself, into a very expensive product. He is the architect of rock and roll. He took the baton from James Brown, Little Richard, and Stevie Wonder and ran off. No one so far has taken the baton from Prince.

I must say that I agree with you completely. We live in a time now that is almost completely devoid of TRUE musicianship. Prince is able to stand out and be as revered as he is because he is a real artist. What he does today is almost unheard of in contemporary performers, a person that can sing, play, produce and perform? Try thinking of five.....hard isn't it? You're totally right. Prince took the baton from his mentors and has found his own rhythm. As long as he keeps it fresh...he will never fade...real artists never do.
