Prince will be inducted for the first time tonight! Good evening from Germany,
about 19 years ago the 30th of March 1985 I had become aware of Mr. Nelson and the Revolution and ever since I was following his musical footsteps, sometimes with a lot of hesitation and need to listen to what was on the record to get it straight and only little of that time I felt like he lost me (1+1+1=3 for example). The man will be inducted into HOF tonight and believe he deserves it hopefully after this one and all the media fuzz about racyness and explicit lyrics he'll be more relaxed about it, more than he was when he toured ONA. Keep in mind Mr. Nelson, to surpress your sexual side doesn't help...it will pop up anywhere else...it is human nature to be lustfull, you were the man to tell us that for decades, some of us took a long ride to realize what truth lies within. So about 19 years tonight I saw Prince & The Revolution live via Satelite from Syracuse NY, and today I am waiting on another television of a Prince concert here in Europe. Peace Juize And last but not least, Prince will be inducted twice, another time for his achievement with the Revolution and togehter with the original members . Keep that in your mind!

Peace Juize Prince will not be inducted twice. "Prince" is being inducted, but that moniker is all-encompassing to include The Revolution and NPG, and any other backing bands. It's him that is being noticed throughout HIS entire career. Other artists have been inducted twice . . . Michael Jackson, 3 of the Beatles, but I don't think Prince will. The Revolution was only credited on 3 albums (4 if you count the hidden credit on 1999), and one of the criteria for induction is a continued impact on popular music.

The fact that you still remember the date should make you worry. "How embarrasing to be human!"

The fact that you still remember the date should make you worry. It states the date of the performance on the screen before the beginning of the concert, so assuming that he taped it or bought it on VHS he's reminded of it every tiem he watches it. So there

The fact that you still remember the date should make you worry. Asctually I do not, because there is a bootleg DVD out on which you can always see the date no need to put in on memory... Peace Juize [This message was edited Mon Mar 15 13:47:45 2004 by Juize]

Peace Juize What, are you high? This isn't like George Harrison and the Beatles, where he has a body of work separate from another entity. It's just Prince, with a backing band - Revolution, NPG, the Heartbreakers, whatever. It's Prince. The Last Otan Track: www.funkmusician.com/what.mp3

No. It was Paul McCartney who had an illustrious career after he was in that band the Beatles, who ALSO had an illustrious career. Prince was not a part of a band. He was PRINCE and the revolution. As great as they were, "Prince and the Revolution" will not be inducted into the HOF.
Weren't together long enough, and, despite what some of the W&L fams may have you believe, Prince totally dominated that groups image. Not dissing the Revolution at all, but realistically for most of the world, they might as well have been called "Prince and some other people".
