Is the year 2004 a good year to be a Prince fan???

I've had more fun being a Prince fan this year than any year since 1991. It just seems like so much is hapening all of the time since the Grammy awards. I don't recall the Emacipation Era or even the promotion for "Rave" being as exciting. What do you think?
"New Power slide...."

It's been a great year so far. I wonder if he will make front cover of Rolling Stone?

I agree with that naked piano player...EVERY year is boomin' for me.
Prince is non-yearlyclassifical...this is just another year when MORE
folks are into him.

Actually, this years 'comeback' ain't really for us...its for the casual fan.
I could have done without another hits tour...

But, it's his dollar (actually, it's mine sad ) and he can do what he wants.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Oh hell yeah! When you consider all the good stuff that has happened and still going to happen this year, 2004 is probably going to be as good as it gets.

I predict :

1) At the very least: 2004 will be his biggest year (as far as MAINSTREAM appeal and success goes) in North America since the Purple Rain era.

2) At the most: Depending on the unknown variables like "Will Musicology produce a hit? The size of the Buzz around the DVD releases and around the tour?, 2004 could kick off a commercial REVIVAL that could spill over into 2005 and beyond.

I hope so. I have always wanted Prince to enjoy MAINSTREAM success because whether he admits it or not, he's always wanted that. You can tell by the way he promoted Emancipation and RUTJF. Prince is back in the 'crowd pleasing' business. It's about time.

Yep.....its a bit frustrating being UK based at the moment. Missing all the shows, trying to watch crap quality streaming on a 56k dial up. confused sad
Then I thought oh well there's the new album and single to look forward to. sad

I was real hopeful about Musicology a couple of weeks back.....looking forward to being able to buy a CD in the shops and seeing the video on tv. Alas looks like that might not happen any time soon. Giveaways at concerts and downloads aren't what I was hoping for. sad

Looking on the bright side....its great to at least read about all the stuff he is doing and hopefully the tour will come to europe eventually.
