Contemporary R&B, Pop with the Minneapolis flavor. Good listening as well as dance, with an extraordinary range of variety. No two songs sound alike. Prince recorded tracks as a hired musician (16 years old)on songs recorded by 94 East back in the late 70s and early 80s. These tracks were first released on Minneapolis Genius in 1986 and more tracks were released in 1995 on Symbolic Beginning. Now, 10:15 & Fortune Teller are the last 2 songs to be released from this collaboration with Prince. All the rest of the tracks are brand new.

It's an MPLS group - Prince's only involvement is as a session musician - as above - Pepe Williams, Prince's early manager was a member - and it's him who keeps whoring these same few tracks by re-releasing them every few years, intentionally mis-construing that they are some long-lost early Prince recordings (i.e. more than they are). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm a sucker for a major chord
