I am the Anti-Dansa on this one...I love this album. But just in case you don't, you can find it easily for $3.99 in any wrecka stow used bin. Take the low-risk route if you must...

I have to be in the mood for C&D. If you tend to like more of Prince's "rock" stuff, then I would highly suggest it. If you're looking for funk, you won't find it here. My favorites on this cd are Dinner with Delores, Zannalee, and Into The Light. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Some very underrated material, suffers from shitty mastering.

the first few songs are OK, it rapidly goes downhill from 'Right The Wrong'. I'd give it a 4/10.

Music wise it's an okay rock & roll album... but the songs are generally bottom draw stuff.

Kinda agree...there ain't nothing wrong with Into The Light/I Will though.

If it was by anyone else, I'd say it's a pretty good, solid album.
For Prince though, it just doesn't cut it. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

It's a contract fulfiller juslyke "The Vault".
However, "Dinner With Delores" is an underrated campfire guitar playing track IMHO. 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Okay, I have a huge bias here but I LOVE Chaos And Disorder. It was the first Prince album I ever heard. If you are a fan of Prince's rock side, particularly his guitar playing, I would highly recommend this album. Possibly the most guitar he's played on album. Certainly any fan should own this album. After all of the bad things you've heard about it I'm sure you will wonder why people bad mouth it so much.
1) Chaos And Disorder-Great opener. Energetic rock song. 2) I Like It There-Similar to the above. 3) Dinner With Delores-GREAT pop song. Very underrated, in my opinion. 4) Same December-I know I'm repeating myself, but another great rock song. 5) Right The Wrong-Kind of a silly song. Lot's of people HATE it but it ain't that bad. 6) Zannalee-Yet another rock number. Funny lyrics. 7) I Rock, Therefore I Am-Kind of a rock/rap hybrid? Good song. I don't care for the rappers. 8) Into The Light-Kind of a slower rock song 9) I Will-Part 2 of Into The Light. 10) Dig U Better Dead-Another rock/rap hybrid. Not a bad song 11) Had U-Not really a song. Kind of a fuck you to WB? Sorry if I messed up the order. Don't have the album in front of me. Had to do it by memory.

I think its one of the best group of opening 3 songs. After that its all downhill...maybe with the exception of "Dig U Better Dead". One of the bottom 3 albums of his career.

A bonafied classic. Get it... you will not be let down.

i love this one. i like the quickness and looseness of the sound. forget the setting of a theme, forget creating a story with filler between the tracks. its just a tight lil rocknroll album. lose some of the underacheiving rap lyrics on it and it shines thru even more.

I think its ok. I like most of the tracks...love Same December and Zannalee. However I absolutely HATE I Rock Therefore I am... what a piece of stinking shit that one is.

I like the title track and The Same December a lot.
I liked the original version of Zannalee better. If you ask me, he completely ruined the track before releasing it. Makes me think that the original Chaos And Disorder album from '94 was way much better - he just didn't want to give WB any good stuff at the time and we - the fans - were the ones who suffered for it by getting the opportunity to buy a second rate version of a first rate album. It's an awesome album that rocks as much as it rolls. It might be even a lil' better than (dare I say it), The Gold Experience. This is one of my personal favorites.
Dinner With Delores says it all. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

This was definitely one of Prince's greatest albums I think. I love the way the songs flow together. My favorite would have to be N2 the light.

I try not to think about it.....EVER! My name is Prince and I want your money

Yeah, it kind of reminds me of my favorite Led Zeppelin album PRESENCE that way. Quick, immediate, raw and to the point. Is it an elaborate conept piece like TGE? No. Its it an overly polished overture to pop radio like RAVE? No. It is what it is. Probably a week in the life of Prince when he was pissed of at Warner's and taking it out on his guitar. I enjoy it thoroughly!! I ROCK THEREFORE I AM/INTO THE LIGHT/I WILL is one of my favorite song cycles on any Prince record. GET IT! Like people say you can find it used for a song!!
