Why is she entitled to anything? He pulled her from absolute obscurity and gave her a career in dance. He bought her a dance company. He didn't have any hits while he was married to her, so all of his money was pretty much made before they were hitched. I just don't get Hollywood Justice.

It is obvious that Prince is accusing Mayte of cheating in this song, which is so ridiculous seeing as he was doing it back home! It makes sense that he "thought" she was cheating on him.. I had heard too that he 'sent' her to Spain. There were also rumors that Prince had a VERY hard time dealing with the loss of the baby. I think that alone can wreak havoc on a marriage. I was VERY dissapointed in Prince for the whole 'dissolving contracts' BS. That was clearly a ploy to divorce Mayte. It makes me even more sad because the songs he wrote for her, constantly referring to her as his soul mate.. and he cheats on her? I hope he takes marriage seriously this time around. He seems happy. But yes, Dave, I agree with you - you know that house in Toronto is going to be Mani's once he leaves her. Unless the JW bond is too strong to break.. I am guessing Mayte didn't want to go down that path, and Mani was more than willing to.. anyway, nomdb, but I do think it is interesting in terms of interpreting Prince's music and lyrics during this time. And is it just me, or does "man in u're life" seem to be about mayte?

I will agree with Dave on the part about Mayte NOT cheating. She told me with her own mouth that she NEVER cheated on Prince... that is one of the rumors that bugs her the most.

A while after the New York club fight, Mayte started showing up in the gossip columns linked with Tommy Lee...and that was officially the end of Prince and Mayte.
