Sticky Wicked Sucks B-I-G Oranges So here I am at work jamming to that CK album(which is a good record) and BAM "Eternity" then BAM BAM BAM "Sticky Wicked" I'm like "Thanx 4 fucking up the mood". These 2 songs are waaaaay too much of fillers(esp to be having Miles Davis playing up in there) Matta o' fact, the album would be much betta off without them.
Sometimes, I wonder if the woman was some skinny-long haird heffa,,,,would he be kind enough to contribute some TIGHT gems?(like the ones he's throwing around on Jill, Apollonia, Vanity and even Sheena). Speaking of Jill, it woulda been the bomb-diggity if Chaka sang "Baby, You're A Trip" with the same production-wise as Jill's version. Oh well,,,I had to vent. Trust me, it ain't pretty hearing Chaka rapping [This message was edited Fri Mar 12 12:08:50 2004 by Harlepolis]

Eternity is actually (or could have been) a good song. But I haven't heard a good version of it (Chaka, Sheena or Prince's) if he would have put some effort behind it. It coulda shoulda woulda been...Sticky Wicked...you want to like it but it's just not happening.

I can understand, Harlepolis
Although, I really like her version of "Eternity" better than Sheena Eastons!!! "Sticky Wicked" does sound like a throw away song..and less than worthy for her...even though Miles did some trumpet on it...but even that doesn't save it. "End of a love affair" is my favorite track on it...

Sticky Wicked and Eternity are the only songs I've listened to on that tape.

I LOVE Sticky Wicked. Fo' real? Wow I couldn't sit my ass still enough 4 mo' than 2 minutes whenever I play these two! Why did Chaka think the result was worth including on the album.
Becoz of Miles Davis's involvment and the message behind it being that she could relate to it as a mother 1st and 4most.

Now that I have had the chance the think about it. Sticky Wicked sounds like a throwaway is because it was a patch job. No one was actually together for any of the performances. Prince took the performances and patched them together instead of it being an actual collaboration. It might have turned out much better if they were altogether at once and could vibe off of each other.
