Did Prince ever finally come out and admit that he was, in fact, Jamie Starr?

I'm not saying that he needs to. I'm just asking did he ever say that he was officially? I was just listening to 1999's "D.M.S.R." and I remember the lyrics "Jamie Starr's a thief/Vanity 6 is so sweet" blah blah blah...and it just made me think about it.

Search against those same compositions in the ASCAP database for the collection of publishing monies, and the writer of the songs is declared as Prince.

So whilst I'm unaware Prince has ever stated in interview that he is / was Jamie Starr, he has been required to confirm so in order to protect his legal rights and collect publishing.

PRINCE COMES OUT OF CLOSET

During a press conference Prince finally came out of the closet and admitted he indeed used the pseudonym Jamie Starr to confuse his feeble fans.

During all of this he cried and repeatedly whispered "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

Furthermore he stated that all fans traumatized by this event can come to Pailsey Park and pick up the key to his infamous Vault.
