prince didn't enjoy guitar playing during his 80-es? have anybody noticed that on live videos that were made after 1984 untill 1992 prince
look like he wasnt enjoying playing guitar.(there are exceptions of course small club) i dont know why , maybe he was tired of playing those songs or something. his playing at that time seemed rushed, he looked like he was doin' it only to satisfy crowd.he would quickly move to another thing. after 80's in the 90's and especialy these days he seems much more relaxed and you can see he truly enjoys playing guitar. | |

What... You missed the '85 part of the Purple Rain tour, not to mention The Blue Angel on the Lovesexy tour?
But it's true - he seemed to let the guitar fall by the wayside in '86. And I assume that was because he had two guitarists in the band. He picked it up again in '87, though, for the Sign 'O' The Times tour, but admittedly not as prominently as on the Lovesexy tour. But on the Nude & D&P tours he didn't play much guitar, no. Thank goodness he picked it up again for Act I and that by ACT II it was back in full force. If he isn't enjoying it, then I can think of loads of exceptions captured on video (or audio, if you are willing to include Small Club) and when I saw him live, including when guitar featured less prominently such as on the Hit 'n Run tour of 1986. .
