I have it from a decent source that Miss Knowles and Mr. Nelson are to record the man's uptodate version of Nothing Compares 2 U. As much as it goes against all I stand for as a Prince fan and I just love Rosie, it probably would be a good idea in terms of tour promotion in the US and Europe. It would almost certainly hit the top spot around the world. Morons might think it is a cover - there are always a few. His version has a completely different meaning and slant than Sinnead's so it would still seem fresh to the public.

i would very much prefer to see them do a NEW SONG!!!! i think they would sound great together!!!!! NC2U is a BEAUTIFUL song, yes! but he's capable of writing a great new song for them to duet on . . . Beyonce's last album had sooooo much Princey sounds on it - i kept thinking about Purple Rain . . . it would be a great collab, the two of them!! i just hope they don't do NC2U - although it would have to be better than Rosie's version - ugh and ick to her doing it . . .

That would be a nice combination. They sounded great singing "Purple Rain" together, so I'm sure this song would be no exception.
