It really upsets me that Prince has rearranged some of his most classic, wonderfully dirty songs to fit his beliefs. With Prince being the artist that he is, he should be able to acknowledge his varrying spirtual beliefs, admit that they've changed, and leave the songs at that. He shouldn't think that he has to rearrange his songs now. We all know what they sounded like before, and most of us like them better that way....and in truth....if he won't sing them they way they were meant to be sung, the way he origionally sang them....well then maybe he shouldn't sing them at all. I mean "23 scriptures in a one nite stand"? What the hell is that??? Lord, Somebody Save Prince's Masters!!!!

Changing lyrics in a live environment has always been a part of the Prince creativity thing since way back - and I don't think it's that bad to have a couple of lines changed here and there or even the whole concept a la The Cross/Christ - I think it's quite clever really.

But changing the actual songs on released albums (when they get re-mastered) would be pure heracy! and I'd hate him forever if he did that!

Songs like Sexy MF he may just have to retire. The song was Prince at his raunciest, so it's a little hard to clean it up... Unless he can find a way to do snipets with revamped lyrics that acutally make sense. If it were me, I could just let the band break out with it, and dance a little-
