??? about the Jamie Starr Scenario 12"

.

there was a white label 12" released a while back:

The Jamie Starr Scenario "Welcome 2 Thee Light"

it is an instrumental based on samples taken from "Stand Back"

i have heard a rumor that Felix Da Housecat released this under the alias. that would make sense, as it has his sound & he is a huge fan of Prince.

can anyone out here back this rumor up?

does anyone out here have any other info on the track?

thanks!

I've never heard of this - I would be very interested if it had anything to do with Felix.

I think it must be the dance cover version that is used as the theme music to "Match of the Day" here in the UK - as an instrumental, but there is also a vocal version out doing the club circuit - I'm sure it's been released! I think it's pretty cool and really shows that Prince's signature synth sound of the 80's is strongly influentual to today's top dance producers. Shame Prince can't make a decent dance track innit?

Nah, Gottagottagotta is refering to a dance cover version that was in the UK charts recently by someone who I think was calling themselves "Linus Loves feat Sam Obernik". It was not like the Jamie Starr Scenario version, but more like Stevie Nicks covered in a UK commercial dance version (but not bad for that kinda thing).
