Why is prince talking shit on Mutiny As most of you know prince is asking miko, morris ect... "Did you give?" My thing is how could anyone give if you act like a total control freak. It's not like he would let them come up with tracks on their own have any important say in the tracks and lyrics P wrote for them, yet he questions their contributions. And granted they took the success and songs but it's like if you keep helping certain people then they will become dependent on you what do you expect. Over the years he has preformed the song a lot and it just makes me wonder how could any of the Paisley acts give anything to a control freak like him (outside of W&L of course).

Consider that there are other methods of "giving" in music. Like, putting 100% into the performance, recording, etc, of the music. Just because Prince had a vision of music and didn't want somebody else to muss it up does not mean that he didn't want them to come into the song with the strengths that he selected them for... Miko's guitar, Morris' attitude. Cuz, shoot, anybody can come up with an idea for a song. Prince was like the director, weeding out the crap and pushing the artists to GIVE their best performances. I am not talking shit just wondering why prince is dissing morris and miko in mutiny when he seems to be such a control freak.

For example on Ice cream castles the time wanted to create that album as a group but prince did what he always does took him, morris and Jessie in the studio and made the tracks. Do you think Morris wanted to perform "If the kid can't make you come"? Not having any real say on that album is one of the reasons he left the time.
