Granted the Xenophobia shows were last minute and poorly promoted, but after days on sale, you could still get GREAT seats to the Orpheum shows (which were eventually canceled) I wouldn't say this city HATES him, but I don't think it's one of his strongest fanbases anymore. I think part of the problem is us ungrateful fans.
After standing in the 40 below weather for 5 hours one too many nites only to be let into Paisley to see the Larry Graham revue, people jumped ship. Many of the people I saw down at Paisley in the earlier years got sadly burnt-out and laugh at me when I see them and admit I haven't given up yet. On the plus side, though...Chris shows P a lot of love in the Strib. He always calls attention to the latest release and gives him generally good write-ups. whatevs, it don't matter to me cos I AM EXCITED FOR THIS SUNDAY! WAHOOOOO! right on....and i'm lookin forward to sunday, too!  i gotta buy 2 extra copies for a couple of orgers, so i can send 'em the prince insert.... i feel like the org's papergirl. and before anyone else asks me, no i'm not gonna be spendin money on tons of copies of the strib so i can send you a copy of the insert!  Will you pick me up a copy? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

MPLS no longer cares about Prince. You know how many people in this town (5 minutes from Paisley) ask if he's still around? Everyone who finds out I'm a big Prince fan asks me this. We have Borders Bookstores over here in the UK and there is one here in my city of Bournemouth and they have International newspapers, but they dont carry ONE US paper!!! 
Naive Bastards!!!! But still, I have a Prince freind in St. Cloud, so I am gonna ask him 2 buy me a copy and send it over!! | |

I just Subscribed to the Mpls Star Tribute, the Sunday edition. I hope I this this Sunday's issue, I am also going to check out to see if there maybe any newspaper in my area. I live in Savannah GA, I bought A few copy's of the Mpls Star Tribute when I went to the last Celly great newspaper, but would like to have more than one copy. thank you so much for the info on this, I look forward to reading it. I will also let my fellow Prince fans know where to get a copy, Love, Peace, and Always B Wild. | |
