The very exciting ONA tour was not very long ago. I went to a few shows and an aftershow - to me those were among the best performances I've seen by him. And I didn't even like TRC THAT much. It seems with the current tour he wants to play his hits for the last time to a big audience. I agree it doesn't seem too interesting for the fans. And I'm not really blown away by Musicology - the song - either. (I liked the Leno performance though!) I'm still waiting for another masterpiece on cd. But if that doesn't happen, I'll keep going to his shows. In concert Prince still rocks. Nikkie Hi Nik, I'm 100% with you. But to tell you the truth, I'm bored with the Musicology promotion. It looks like he's desperate to be in the spotlight again. The problem is that he looks very uncomfortable in interviews ( the only exception is the Leno's shows he's done). And I'm a little tired of the horn section, as good as they are, I don't dig that anymore. Maybe he can use them in a certain part of the concerts, but not the entire show. | |
