Come: An overall GOOD 90's album Come: A not so good intro that should have been only 3 minutes...
Space: Those remaining minutes of Come should have been in this song as it's much better. Very nice atmosphere... Pheromone: A good dance track. Loose!: Kicking it up a notch with this one. Papa: Was always my favorite from this CD. Race: A piece of shit... Dark: The token slow song. Let it Go: A mediocre pop song. Sounds like it was made specifically for radio. Orgasm: Nice and wierd ending... Liked the sample from Private Joy. I've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow... Now to find a way to exterminate Melody Cool and Rosie Gaines...

Wasn't there a sample from Ronnie talk to Russia in Orgasm as well, or was it just from Private Joy ? Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

I think, like most people, I hated this album the first time I heard it. But it has grown on me over the years. Certainly, at the time it was a huge disappointment. Coming off a greatest hits album it appeared to signify that Prince was finished. And I think he would have been wiser to release the Gold Experience instead.
My fav tracks are Come Dark Papa

I've always felt the 'Come' was an 'almost... but not quite...' sort of album.
I like just about every track on it, yet it doesn't quite seem to add up to a great album. I've always thought that it suffered from the fall-out between Prince and WB, and that if that had not happened, it would have been a much better album. I prefered some of the earlier sequences of the album, and if the two had been combined then it could have been a classic.

I give him points for trying. But for me it just doesn't work. Sorry guys, I am kind dumb when it comes to bootlegs. What was the original tracklist for Come? Were there any other different tracklists other than the original and what was released?

´Space´ had a kick ass live version in the Miami B-day bootleg 94. Prince does a beautiful guitar solo in the end.
I prefer the ´Universal Love Remix´ and the acoustic one is very nice. The album version is nice, but a little bit ´plastic´. I love the solos of ´Letitgo´. ´Loose´ is very nice too. And ´Dark´ has some nice drums in the end (and a rocking guitar too) ´Come´ is my fave. beautiful harmonies and great horn solos.

It's alright, but it felt so incomplete compared to his other albums, which were like full blown works of art.
There's some good songs to listen to on it (Loose!, Papa, Letitgo, Dark) but the album feels like a throwaway. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I think Come is Prince's great undiscovered classic. There's a vibe to that whole album that's just amazing and unique.

COME is great to listen to by yourself on an overnight drive on a dark highway...
I dig the record a lot. COME, LOOSE, LETITGO and SOLO being my faves. But to me its a "by yourself" record. Headphones usually, or driving. Its not a party record like 1999 for me. Its kinda personal and subtle. And I don't think I could listen to ORGASM with another person in the room unless we were doing it!!

Right, every now and then, you put it in. I usually play it in the car, when the passenger complains about the current P music I'm bumpin. THen they go off into this whole thing about Prince being a freak. That's when I put in COME, and play the last track... Then I'll look at them and say, "He's a freak, but she's not complainin...is she?" Blue Blue

Wasn't there a sample from Ronnie talk to Russia in Orgasm as well, or was it just from Private Joy ? "Vibrator" is definitely sampled. That's Vanity's voice saying: "Ready or not - here I come".

I think I was glad that he decided to sample the end of 'Ronnie Talk to Russia', it was a bad song that needed to have some relevance with the late 90's pop market. ..sharmone MF..!

I was disappointed when this CD came out, and it didn't have Love Sign on it. I think that song would've fit perfectly after Loose!
I also liked the earlier, more techno version of Come. I'd love for that to be made available soon! All in all, it's a pretty good album. I don't know if it would be in the upper half of Prince's albums, but it would hover somewhere in the middle . . .
