I believe the cd giveaways & the tour
are all part of the new & improved Prince. This is all aimed at returning him to the public eye. The idea is for him to comeback & for people to fall in love with him again. The important question is how well will the cd after Musicology sell. Will he have rebuilt an audience.

I think it'll do alright. No hits or anything, but the tour's doing really well, and I'm sure the Musicology album will at least sell better than Rave.
He's Prince again, he's getting inducted into the Hall, he's been doing great on the tv circuit, and the 20th anniversary of PR is coming up. All those factors will help move the album sales along, in spite of what I think will be a lack of any new hits. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Well, the tour will be successful at the beginning and then... The album will NOT sell, not anymore than the previous albums have, but Prince isn't really trying to promote this album. He's putting all his effort into this tour. With all the talk shows he has done so far he sang musicology on one_Leno; all the other shows he sang classics. And with the album coming out this month there has not been any Musicology on the radio at all.

SUccess is measure in different ways. The easiest and most obvious way is the read reviews, follow the charts, and count up the sales dollars. It is also the most inaccurate and shortsighted way that appeals to the less enlightened. The critical thinking man tends to have the perspective to form an independent opinion if artistic impact - or "success" (ie. the degree to which the art is successful in affecting or inspiring the audience). ...cause FACE said so!!!

tour.... only NPGMC members will buy it and believe it changed the world. I think you're pretty on point with that statement. meanwhile the world youth are still saying "who's Prince?"

We'll see how well the next album sells... RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I predict that the CD will sell decently, but I have a feeling that it won't be a massive success.Prince is gonna have to release some strong, catchy singles and from what I have heard so far,the title track just isn't it.However,I think the tour will be huge, his most successful tour in years.
