I've had this discussion a few times with my friends. One pointed out the hallway segment during COmputer Blue as being some statement about it. Also Purple Music has some homo-erotic tones with the whole bath convesation. He also slightly refers to wanting either in Anna Stasia...but I think that could be about something else...but certainly the line mentions that either will do.

Prince has always firted with with both sexes, IMO, and I have always though him to encompass both sexualities. He's certainly a straight male that is very much in touch with his femininity.
