No, there is an Arlington show too. It just got posted later than the Columbia show on Fandango. I got one email from NPGMC for Columbia and then another about 12 hours later for Arlington.

Let's hope that the audio of the theater (and the simulcast) is good! It's all coming from the soundboard, so it should be great!

I don't think I'll mind audience noise -- it won't be any worse than the actual concert!

Looks to me like other artists have already done this through "Concert Tour Big Screen Premiere (TM)", so has anyone out there been to another one? How is the picture and sound?

I ordered it through Fandango.com without any problem; no need to be an NPGMC member to order it through them, and it's only a $1 service fee!!

I can't imagine it costs more than $1 to manufacture CDs, probably less. Prince probably clears as much as $10 from each ticket sold to these theater showings. Between this "giveaway" and hte concert "giveaways", Prince will probably distribute around 1 million copies of this CD before the first retail sale and lots of us will end up with multiple copies to give friends. It looks to me like this will be his most widely distributed CD since he left warner bros.

I don't think it's about maximizing retail sales, it's about regaining his public visibility.

I agree. I tend to think that the CD will only contain the single of "Musicology." I don't think Prince would shoot himself in the foot by giving away the ENTIRE album for free!

By the way, I'll be at the Cleveland showing on the 29th! I'm psyched! lol

How is he shooting himself in the foot? If the disc is included as part of the ticket price, then that counts as a sale. He's getting guaranteed sales, plsu getting word out about his new album. Doesn't sound like foot shooting to me!

The Walled Lake location is the closest to Detroit. It's near Haggerty and 15 Mile, I believe. The theatre's website has a map.

As much as I'd love to go, it ain't happening unless it was planning like in Ann Arbor and that would still screw me up. It's just too far and too late (a night). Sucks!

Hi Everyone!!

Anyone going to the Regal in Williamsville (Buffalo) NY?? My friends are awesome but travelling an hour (I'm coming from Rochester) to catch a concert that starts at 11PM on a Monday night....kinda tough sell. Think I'll be hitting this one alone!

The coolest thing about this, is that I'LL be at that show live! biggrin Only think that sucks is, Staples charges 3.75-4.00 for medium-sized drinks. For an order of nachos, you may need totake out a smal mortgage on your house. Incredible.
Cause in my possession there's a signed confession that says, I was the best you EVER had....too bad.
