they're playin the simulcast at a theater here in mpls (unlike the vegas dvd showings)...i'm surprised. but the theater they're showin it at is over in brooklyn center (wherever that is, it's in the 'burbs from what i gather).

I'm seeing too many people here and on the club saying "I got my tickets!", I think they're on sale now. YES! I have made my purchase. This is gonna be awesome! I'm gonna LOVE this. What a cool idea. I can't believe I had a dream about this when I heard the tour was anounced. It's gonna be so fun, hearing the music and seeing the show without having to use binoculars or be on my tip toes. I'm 5'2", so I always gotta sit in lodge unless I'm in the first 3 rows.

I can't imagine it costs more than $1 to manufacture CDs, probably less. Prince probably clears as much as $10 from each ticket sold to these theater showings. Between this "giveaway" and hte concert "giveaways", Prince will probably distribute around 1 million copies of this CD before the first retail sale and lots of us will end up with multiple copies to give friends. It looks to me like this will be his most widely distributed CD since he left warner bros. I don't think it's about maximizing retail sales, it's about regaining his public visibility. | |

Ok I'm in L.A. and according to Fandango the concert is being screened only at an Alhambra theatre and it is on the actual night of the concert March 29th. WTF? IT should be tuesday so we can see what we missed up close if we have shitty seats in the Staples center.
