How does Prince plan to sell a cd if he gives it away to everyone? Although for the record these live concerts in movie theaters are usually $10 and this one costs $15 so it's more like getting the cd at around cost.

The time zone differences would make it very tough to broadcast live. Also, don't you think they would have mentioned it in the email? Bowie did worldwide transmissions but they announced that some would not receive it live.

Look at it this way: it doesn't cost much at all to manufacture the CD since he does it in-house. That way, he STILL makes a little off them. We don't know how much the theatre is charging him for this kind of showing across the country, so the profit is anyone's guses.

Also, doesn't this go towards being recognized in the industry as another CD sold per ticket sold? Maybe someone like otan can help me out on that one...

I personally will wait for the real thing because I KNOW all the Minneapolis FAMS will be in the theater screaming and annoying me. At least at the concert it's part of the atmosphere but it doesn't work in a theater.

What do you mean inhouse? He certainlydoesn't make them at Paisley Park or anything. He has this little place in Minneapolis that he uses to print his independent releases. My stepdad used the same place and they had a little Prince display on all the work they've done for him.

The website says its an independent operation.

I doubt its connected to the Regal Cinema chain in the U.S.

I think it's a franchise..... try this site

www.regalcinemas.co.uk

It's a skeleton page that may have been set up by the parent company, although tis is pure speculation on my part.

Out of my assumptions of it being an actual record company, I mentioned in-house. This means either it's literally done IN a building owned by PP or in very close contact or control of the manufacturing process.

Like oh my god, there's one in Columbus?! SWEET!!

Now if only I could get an email. Hey, anyone who knows me and therefore knows that I'm a paying member...if you get the link, could you please share it with me? Sometimes I get emails days late. Thanks!

I just checked ot their website and called regal cinemedia. They confired that they have no cinemas in the UK, however I asked them if they knew of any plans for the show to be shown at any other cinema complexes in th UK or Europe and they are emailing me an answer. I also asked if there were any plans for the show to be made available for purchase either through them or Prince directly. I'll post it as soon as I find out.

I am trying the one in Columbia Maryland and I cannot purchase tickets for some reason. I click on the 11:00 p.m. link and then I put in two tickets and then hit continue, but it returns back to the original link rather than going to the payment page. Help please.
