krebsne said: I am the only one who will say this but I've said it before and I'll say it again. My favorite era is: TGE to NPS. That's right, Gold Experience, Come, Chaos & Disorder, Emancipation, Crystal Ball, The Truth and New Power Soul. (You could even put OLD FRIENDS FOR SALE in there since he delivered it to WB the at the same time as C&D they just didn't put it out until later.)
I call this the "Let's not PRETEND we're married" period. He was into Mayte and his upcoming family. "If U want to make love with me- you got to wear my ring. Cause I don't need no mistress I'd much rather be bound, lets find us a preacher so we can get down down down!!" THAT IS HOT! And yes it from COME ON on New Power Soul. Musically is this era as exciting as 1999-SOTT? Probably not. But emotionally, spritiually, artistically... the whole enchilada it appeals to me the most. I listen to C&D and NPS more than 1999 and Dirty Mind. No lie. I am 34. I am now ready to recieve my due ridicule. Bring it!! For the picture, not for the post! And no, I won't be posting my own picture.

1978-1995 I'm 33 Hi, how are ya?!

Oh man...too hard. Started in 1978...built to a crescendo during the bangin' b-sides. I'd have to say: due to my age and how important EVERYTHING ABOUT PRINCE was, the 80s.
And that's because I went into junior high (in CA at that time, you graduated from elementary school -- not grammar school, Easties) I had already had my curiousity piqued (or peaked?) by Soft & Wet, I Wanna Be Your Lover, Uptown and Party Up...not to mention that Mick Jagger thought P was such the sh!t that he put him on their tour...and Prince promptly made a BRILLIANT publicity move by startin stuff to get trash thrown at him at the LA Coliseum in 1980. It was all over the papers in LA...BRILLIANT! So ... he had me before, then he REALLY had me thereI remember waiting on line in Hollywood to see Purple Rain, only to see them cut off the line about 7 people ahead of me. Good thing was that I got great position for when he rolled up on the purple motorcycle! Then there were the other songs ( ): Get It Up, Stick, The Walk ("Damn Baby! How'd you get all that in them jeans?" "it wasn't easy." "I know that's right, hmph!" Nasty Girl, A Million Miles, etc. Suffice it to say that my puberty and Prince are linked 4ever...and I thank him for that!

HOW HOT IS HE IN Somebody's somebody... mmmmm great era! Did you see him on Tavis Smiley? Looking quite SOTT...and PHOYNE. And that wouldn't be turning you straight...just you and his female and male energies hooking up. Cuz he sho is purdy too. Now, I must say I've never seen Somebody's somebody (me and a philosophical diff w/cable. read: when i pay for all the premium channels, they show the same $hit! I haven't had cable since '94...and that may change cuz I miss NBC and basketball!) But to your ref re: dyke...I'm of the mind (to make some mookie -- or is it nookie?) to know that P crosses the sex lines. Some people really are just Sexy MFs, no matter your pref.
