I liked it. Only thing I have noticed Is that the sound is whacked on these TV shows…like volume up on something it shouldn’t be. I didn’t think his back up singers were all that…they seemed to be either not harmonizing with him or singing over him. Like in Nothing compares…he was going off with the lyrics…I just couldn’t hear them. Otherwise it’s been all good. I have been liking the music…and the performances…heck just that he’s on the air is good enough. I notice that he commands the space he’s given unlike other music performers doing the rounds when they are promoting. As Ellen pointed out that his performance was amazing. Nothing terribly outstanding per se about it but he’s very moving and engaging. I think everyone is just happy to see him again…and that he’s not disappointing when they do.

Slightly off topic, I think it was the best interview I’ve seen with him…(thinking of an example – can’t)…ever. I think this was because Ellen is a fan and it showed. Unlike most hosts who are just reading up on what he’s just doing now and are given his latest whatever to promote. She really gave him the props! I mean we do all the time…but it’s great to hear it acknowledged on national TV. BTW her show is up for 12 or 13 Emmys and Yahoo.com had a pic from yesterdays show on their site.

I thought it was good, the only thing I didn't like were the horns. Its fine if he uses them hear and there, but they just dominate the music.

you should always remember Prince picks and chooses how well he is going to perform, and alot of it has to do with the feed back from the audience and/or the host/ess.

One thing I noted is when he asks ya'll to sing with him, ya don't, guess I would feel just like a performing monkey if the people who was there didn't love me enough to sing with me when I asked them to, just sat and stared at me like, huh? HUH?

It would have better if they cut 75% of the instruments from it.
