Frightening thought!! I wanna share a thought i just had;
What if the people that see Prince's latest performances on Tavis, Leno, Ellen, go to the record store to buy some of his stuff. They look through the Prince section. They already own 'Purple Rain'. The only other lp there is 'Joy Fantastic'. They're sure the new album is called 'music' something, but then why wouldn't it be in the section?! They decide, despite the awful front cover, to go for 'Joy Fantastic'. Now, there's a chance they'll get to 'i love u but i don't trust u anymore'., and the purchase will be justified. But there's a greater chance they wont get this far into the album. There's a very good chance that they'll NEVER buy another Prince album again. On a completely different point; i just heard the full 6minute version of 'Shockadelica' for the first time!!! This is so far ahead of it's time it's untrue. "Get up, you be laying on my guitar... Well, more than likely they'd run into a hits package, and then possibly their purchase would be justified. Of course, then they'd probably be like, damn, these songs sound so much better live! | |

Rave isnt that bad. In fact, its quite good. Undisputed is worth the price of admission aline ...cause FACE said so!!! | |

Ahh come on! The good tracks are; 'strange but true', 'tangerine', 'i love u but..', 'prettyman'. Most of the tracks though are real stinkers, they sound like he's trying so hard to be 'hip'. I'm sorry, but it is a bad album. It did took me a little time to appreciate that as well. I have to agree. It starts out well enough, but then falls completely to pieces right after "The Sun, The Moon and Stars." Of course, that's just my own personal opinion. Sure it's got some really good tracks, but as a whole, it's pretty stinky. Not funky, just stinky. |

It maybe could have been a great album if Prince would stop insisting on coming out with a new album every single year.

I always thought 'strange but true' was a great track. The lyrics seem quite personal, and the sound is so 'different' to everything else. I love 'beautiful strange' - that shoulda been on the original 4 sure "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"
