I attended the taping of the ELLEN show today and does anyone find it interesting he performed "BAMBI" on her show?

With the lyrics of this song being what they are, does anyone think he purposely sent a message through his music to the target audience of this show.

I just found it to be a very interesting choice of song for this particular show. Almost borders on disrespectful to ELLEN if it was an intentional shot at her life style and the majority of her viewers.

What ya think?

There was a really surreal moment on that show once when Joan Rivers was talking to Regis about visiting London and she was telling him about the Richard & Judy show.

I think,U and I, BinaryJustin are about the only 2 Brits over here that know who Regis and Kathie Lee and Kelly are!!!

I used 2 watch the Regis and Kathie Lee and the Regis and Kelly shows every morning, when I used 2 live in the USA!!!

I really am at a loss now, every morning what 2 watch on TV, now that I am living over here!! I really miss Regis and Kelly!!!!

Also, I think some TV execs from here went over 2 the USA and saw the Regis and Kelly show and wondered how they could do the same over here and came up with Des and Mel!!!

Also, really, when u think about it, we over here in the UK have no talk shows, like Regis and Kelly and even The view during the day for artists 2 go on 2 promote their new CDs or tours or anything!!
We dont even have any decent breakfast shows either, like they have in the USA(NBC Today, Good Morning America, This Morning). All we have is GMTV and RISE and they are totally crap!!

And as for late night chat shows, we dont have anything of the likes of Letterman, Leno, O'Brien or Kilborn 2 watch and for artists 2 go on 2 promote their new material or whatever!! We have Michael Parkinson, but hes only on for about 3 months a year, whereas Letterman, Leno, O'Brien and Kilborn and others are on EVERY single night of the year except weekends!! So u tell me who is the more professional!!!!! Leterman I am sure is the same age as Parkinson, yet hes on EVERY single night of the year in the US, barring when hes had some health problems!!! Yet Parky can only manage 3 months of the year!!

Over here really, new CDs and tours really have 2 promote themselves and they have 2 sell on their own merit here!! I am not surprised that most acts and performers just give up on this country!!!!

We mat not have many talk shows, but the TV HERE is 100x better than in the US. Firstly we actually have decently long documentarties and programmes, secondly we dont have adverts every 5 seconds. On BBC you never have adverts. I cant understand how anyone in the US can endure so many advert breaks in a programme.

2 things:

1. Why are you guys talking about Regis 'nem - is he gonna be on that shitter of a show??

if it is true prince played bambi then its fucking hilarious, its not disrepectful cos he wouldnt go on the show if his beliefs were such that he disagreed with it so strongly, he might personally feel its the wrong way to live your life but obviously he's not putting his opinions on people that much lately!!

plus its cool if he played bambi cos its well known among fans but nice to see him play a song (although i guess not a "hit" as such) that isn't among his 20 song odd repetoire of obvious hits to play, ie he always plays kiss and nothing compares 2 u. so i imagine alot of people know these songs already surely?!
