Acknowledging Mani I've noticed that everyone refers to Mani as a unidentified guest. Has Prince ever acknowledged Mani as his wife publicly?? If so can you give quotes or when he did this. It surprises me that the press does not know that she is his wife by now. | |

I doesn't seem like Prince puts her out front like he did with Mayte. Maybe he learned something from that? She's a beautiful lady, I would love to see her more. | |

I don't think there was ever an official announcement of their wedding and it doesn't seem to be general knowledge. I agree, perhaps he already learned the pitfalls of using your wedding and marriage as a means of generating publicity. You better wake up, Stella. This is my town! | |

The closest thing that P gave to an official confirmation was when a fan asked him at a soundcheck on the ONA tour. He did confirm that he was married.
The media doesn't really keep up with things unless an official press release confirms it. Since he never formally announced his divorce, some papers were even reporting him with Mayte at certain spots when he and Mani first started making appearences together. Ultimately, its just lazy journalism, and I think P is just fine with that. The less info they have on his private life, the less they can bend the truth

Mani is smart enough to not get too "out there" the way Mayte did. Mayte became a lightening rod. Some fans loved her, others hated her. It was just like a Yoko Ono type of thing. Mani has kept a low profile, so fans don't have any complaints about her.    | |

i dont wanna turn this in 2 a my dads bigger than ur dad type o thread .. but.....
i think mani is very much a plain looking girl, she sure as hell aint no beauty, i'm sure p loves her very much ...he married her didnt he !.ive seen lots of photos of them 2gether and ive always been surprised at how plain she is i dont think she is attractive. all his x's were soooo... much more beautiful , susannah,vanity,apollonia,mayte. mani cant compare 2 these girls in the looks department. ive said many times emancipation shoulda been called "the prince loves mayte album !!! betcha by golly wow sex in the summer one kiss at a time soul sanctuary the holy river saviour friendlover.... la la la means i love u the love we make "style is mayte in the shower" "style is the glow in a pregnant womans eyes" etc etc etc oh well maybe its me !!!  who loves mayte !!!  | |

I didn't think Mani was pretty either until I saw her at Paisley Park. She's gorgeous...but not photogenic at all. I never thought about that before, but I agree too that he probably learned his lesson with Mayte and losing his child when it got in the news, plus he is older and I think he wants a normal quiet marriage (not saying his and Mayte's weren't) without the media hounding him. Plus Mayte was his dancer in the NPG and Mani was an employee at PP so that kinda makes a difference. As far as Mani's looks, I also agree that sometimes she isn't photogenic, but then I have seen pictures where she is gorgeous. The one thing I still can't get over, but I am happy about is, Prince actually got somebody brown as a paper bag. I have just been used to him being with women his complexion or lighter. When that's all you see a person date, you think that's all they're ever gone be with. The only person I know is Vanity, Troy Beyer (who was mixed), and Nona Gaye, who I still can't believe they were a couple or even messin' around. Anyway, I'm just glad Prince and Mani are happy. | |

It's great that Prince hasn't publicly acknowledged Manuela as his wife. Why should he?
His personal life is of no consequence to anybody, bar him and his wife, so why should he put her on show? It shouldn't be an issue to fans of his music, in theory. Personally, the only thing I care about is Prince's music and career. His private life is unimportant. I think prince just wants a normal quiet marrage, none of that camera candy stuff that we were always use to seeing him with.
In my opinion Mani is just a typical girl, quiet and likes to stay out of the spotlight and looks as if she doesn't even care about it. She is most like the marrying type in my opinion, the kind of girl that say's just leave me with my man and I'm happy. Hmmm sounds like the kind of girl I'm looking for. *********************************************

She doesn't have an album out, she's not a dancer.
Mayte was all out there like his other girls I guess because she had was part of the product, since Mani has no fuction at all within Prince's product, I don't expect her to be out there in the public eye. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I happen to think Mani is prettier than all of the women you mentioned except Vanity. She isn't as sexy as Mayte but as for a woman you'd want to marry she seems more appealing. Susannah doesn't even belong in the same sentence as the other women. (It's not a color thing: Carmen Electra or Kim Basinger will do nicely  ).

i don't think it's so much that mani isn't as beautiful as mayte but it's more that main doesn't cake herself in makeup and skank wear like mayte.  Mani is very beautiful and nautrally so. | |
