Is it possible that Musicology will just be a single and not a full length CD. I know everyone thinks he is doing an album but I have only hear him say, he has a new "record" coming out, and that he wants all the labels to issue it together, obviously a single could be done that way and not an album. Also the tour seems to be all ready to go and if there is an album to tour behind he will probably be finished touring before it even came out, and if a label is going to issue an album for him promotion and ads would have started already to go with the tour. If a label is going to bank on this they are not going to throw it together overnight. So it seems likely that March 29 will probalby be the availability of Musicology for download on the net and maybe a Cd to follow possibly in June, to coincide with the Anniversary date of Purple Rain. Not sure just guessing which is all we can do.

To me it sounds like it will be an album. I've seen the date of March 29th thrown around, of course as stated on the NPGMC, but that's also the date of the concert premiere. So 'finding out' about Musicology may just imply the concert for now.
I just hope he doesn't screw up the logistics and timing of the album because he's been building up to it well, and it would be a shame to waste another opportunity through poor organisation.

Well, as he has apparently already said in the press conference in LA that it has a track on it titled 'Call My Name', the Paisley Park moderators have said the album contains all new music of different styles, and he said that the music will be available in the form of downloads from the official website, I think there's little doubt that 'Musicology' is an album as well as the name of a song on the album.

As to what is actually available to ticket-holders who attend the concert, we'll have to wait and see.
