What is Prince's best side project?

I don't have much of this stuff but what do you guys think is Prince's best side project?
The Time? Vanity/Apollonia 6? The Family? Jill Jones? NPG? Larry/Chaka? et cetera

My favorite complete album must be Mavis Staples first Paisley Park album, I can't remember the title though. But I love almost all of his sideprojects...
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Time Waits For no one. Great album, though i like Jill Jones a lot more.

Difficult 2 pick. There's some great stuff out there. I'd go with 'Jill Jones' and The Time's second album 'What Time Is It'.
I think the Madhouse albums are great 2.

i like The Family album - - some of his best material for a side project.

Other than that, I have to say Jill Jones. That is a great funky album. Too bad she doesn't have that great a voice... P should have just put out this album himself. Of course you could say that about most of his side projects.

let's face it... there's not a one that wouldn't be better if P had just released the songs as a Prince album.

Yeah, The Family and Jill Jones must be the other two side projects that will make my top 3. Although I love me some The Time and Sheila E as well!

The Family is a great album. Warners simply wouldn't let Prince release all the material he wanted to. I'd rather hear the side projects than those songs just not getting released at all,
and that's what would have happened. nod

Also I think that Warners kinda gave him his own label (Paisley Park) so that he could get as much product out as he wanted. I mean in the 80's how many 'side projects' came out? It was a helluva lot. I think he must have just got pissed at Warner and said I want it out under my name.

Has anyone heard the Sheila E album "Sex Cymbal"? Is it worth my time and money to cop it?

Jill Jones...love her and love her album, Prince is all over it, Jill just sings.

The two released Madhouse albums are great, too.

I have Ice Cream Castle by the Time, which is also good.
