Some of the press got it right. Some got it wrong. I would hate to think that all it stemmed from was whether Prince was 'Studio' flavour of the month. It's curious that, what with his press friendly activity, - in the UK - Q and MTV are playing songs of his again.

I say that Prince is Media Whore, but how much of whore is the media. All of a sudden Prince is a cool thang, so they play Prince. It's Like Bill said, Go back to bed America. Watch we tell you to, you are free. You are free to watch what we tell you to." etc.

Prince is worth so much more than fashion. That's all he's pandering too. He should learn the difference. ... ... except, of course... he is that vain.

The only thing Prince is doing is making an effort to be more accessible as a public figure, and I say right on for that. Check out his vibe on Tavis Smiley and then check him out on Leno or the Grammys - it's almost like two different people, but the way he's doing it is very smart. Laid back black turtleneck and acoustic guitar on PBS, flashy suits and high heels for the bigshot showiz appearances. He's working the different sides of his persona to his advantage, FINALLY, and it's paying off for him. I think that's cool.
