What motivates Prince? Okay, obviously none of us have the answer to this question but what do you think motivates Prince to write/record so many songs and to leave so many of these songs unreleased? He could be making a lot of money if he released even a fraction of his unreleased music so money obviously isn't a motivating factor. And we, his fans, would be ecstatic if he released more material, so he doesn't appear to be making all this music for us. What does he do with it once it's complete? Does he listen to these songs for his own enjoyment? I do understand that we would always clamor for more Prince music but he has released such a small fraction of his recordings. I really don't know why he won't release more music. He would make lots of money and we fans would get to hear great music that we all want. Everybody wins! Am I crazy for thinking like this? | |

No, I don't think MONEY MOTIVATEs PRINCE more like QUALITY wouldn't ya say? But I think he should release everything REGARDLESS and let the Fans decide as we Do Not Care and what he Considers Throwaways well we Probably would Clamour for. He just doesn't Realize that his fans want all his efforts and the BOOTLEGGERS sorry to sayare PROFITINg from him. WHY allow them to? Prince has High Standards,High Morals and is a Gentleman. So Rare in Today's JUNK CULTURE.....Tis why he is the Stuff of Legends....Tis why he is a HALL OF FAMe INDUCTEE! | |

Money, his place in the charts, his place in history, his place in the pantheon of musicians, his bank balance, his acceptability, his popularity, his lack of self esteem, his neediness, his money managers, his brother "handsome and tall", his fear of himself, his fear of failure, his self loathing, his hatred of those without the "funk", his fear of GOD, his fear of a particular god, his lack of cash.....I could go on. It would begin to repeat, but then so has Prince's musical output. | |
