Imagine "Reflection: The Ultimate Celebration"

This would probably never come to pass (think of the rehearsal time), but can you imagine how phenomenal it would be?

Paisley Park
Seven nights
Seven bands
Each band playing the music they made together - only the music from their era

Night 1:
Prince and the pre-Revolution
playing music from 1978-1982

Night 2:
Prince and the Revolution
playing music from 1983-1986

Night 3:
Prince and the Lovesexy band
playing music from 1987-1988

Night 4:
Prince and the early NPG
playing music from 1989-1993

Night 5:
Prince and the stripped-down NPG
playing music from 1994-1996

Night 6:
Prince and the JOTY NPG
playing music from 1996-2000

Night 7:
Prince and the current NPG
playing music from 2001-present

Better yet, make only one night of Prince and the Revolution, and then finish the whole thing with an acoustic set of Prince just playing guitar and piano.

Probably never come to pass? lol

Would be awesome tho'. I mean i'd murder several of my closest relatives just to sniff the coat of someone who'd vaguely known someone else who managed to catch the first night, for a start. And the second: well, drool

This hypothetical situation could occur had he sustained healthy relationships with
the people that travelled along throughout the journey.

And one might get disappointed digging up the past, believe me...

Other than that, play ball --- have a celebration.

What?!?!?!

Well, I can guess nights 4 and 6 would be the least-attended (or at least, least appreciated) - but if he was serious about retiring the old songs, and he seems to be serious about mending old relationships, this would be a perfect way to do both.

So which other nights would you skip?

I can understand that. Having never seen the new band (he skipped Boston on the ONA tour), night 7 would be great for me (playing newer music - I'd rather see the ONA tour than the supposedly-hits-based Musicology tour). And night 5 with the '94-'96 NPG would be one of the major highlights for me - I just loved the chemistry of that band, and I never thought Prince would be able to find a drummer as great as Michael B. until I saw John Blackwell play on the Hit 'n' Run tour.

He could put money in a tip jar everytime he curses. Then that money would go towards buying the masters back, so Tony's presence on the master tapes can be erased and we can all pretend he never appeared in Prince history. lol

"Step, step to the mic" headbang

Man that'd be good. I'd pay good money to see him once, if only for: "Then i start slipping and skipping and jumping around so much i say, 'bring it on!'". I remember reading a review of D&P where the reviewer said that, although Ice T wouldn't be losing any sleep, Tony M brought a freshness to the music or something. neutral

Everyone talks about seeing Prince and the Revolution play again, but how about seeing them play one night, and seeing Prince and the Lovesexy band (unfortunately minus Bonnie) the following night? I would drooling like Homer.
