anyone who could write a song so personal like "nothing compares 2 u" has 2 b totally in touch with the emotional side o their life. i alway's say the person who wrote that song "prince" had 2 xperience the hurt and pain 2 write lyrics soooo.... good.

one of my fave p tracks is ...a case of u, he didnt write it but boy does he sing every line like his life depended on it !!! i love p's rendition of this song !

and then theres dont talk 2 strangers written by p b4 his child was born. unbelievable lyric 4 someone 2 write who doesnt have children

those about joy aren't that strong,
perhaps we need pain to feel the joy.

When UTCM came out I just coukld Not Listen to SOMETIMES IT SNOWs IN APRIL cause I would Cry. Seeing the movie was Worse with Prince's charcter CHRISTOPHER getting Shot and Dying. Now, I can listen to it no problem, but the New song Tugging at my Heartstrings is I LOVE U BUT I DON"T TRUST U U ANYMORE. This is just so Sad a song I am feeling sad right now. Gotta broken Heart Again is kinda Reflective. Why Did I Waste My Kisses is Another one. But generally if I am LOSING it at his Concert it is More Climatic ya know Happy kinda Joy like Overcome. This is Because his songs are so INTENSE. I Especially Like BEAUTIFUl STRANGE and JOY IN REPETITION.

Actually, back in the day I don't know if Prince was in touch with his true emotions. Remember that Susan Rogers said that when he recorded the track "Wally" she had been waiting years to hear him be so emotionally honest on tape.

And she also said that when she brought up the subject of depression with Prince he dismissed it and only wanted to think about good things.

None quite like the premere of Purple Rain in 1984.
It was like a concert.People dancing .

When Purple Rain was played at the end the whole theater was swaying ,hands raised in the air.Few people left with dry eyes.
