I saw Paisley Park today! My kids Kindergarten class had a field trip to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum which is about 5 miles past the Park. Got to show it to my son and say "That's where Daddy has seen Prince 20 or 30 times at least! And you were at a Prince show there in your Mama's belly!" Looked pretty empty. Two cars in the lot. The circle building looked finished (anyone ever figure out what that is?) Wonder if he ever does or ever will use the old Park again or what will become of it? So many great memories! I would love to see some more PP shows again!!!

The arboretum rocks (although it might seem a little dull in the winter).
The outside of the building is mainly finished but the inside is not. It was to be a restaurant and Prince changed his mind. I'm sure he still will use PP, but I wouldn't count on many more parties.

I have no inside info or anything, but it's been over 2 years since the last performance so it just seems to me that he has moved on.

yeah...i'm thinkin folks were complainin about people were parkin everywhere and what-not. it ain't like folks were goin through chanhassen and wreakin havoc, it's a dinky suburb. 'sides, you think folks would be used to it after the first couple years, at least...

Yeah, when I was staying at a rinky dink motel called the Chanhassen Inn for one of the celebrations, I overheard a couple of local yokels in the lobby complaining about the Prince celebration. One of them said "don't worry, this'll all be over in a few days."

I've never been to a concert there. Chewymusic and I took a trip to the cities in 1991 and drove out there to see the place. Somehow we walked around the outside of the building with out being bothered. We then walked in the front door and just looked around. We asked about a tour of the studio, were told there was none and left.
I only wish we could jammed out there in am.
