I think We Gets Up was, lyrically, such an original concept for a song.
Possibly the only song about getting out of bed in the morning. And the picture it creates of Prince and the NPG all getting up out of one huge bed, conjures up such an uplifting image. We Gets Up wins by a long shot. Let's Work is a song that should be sung about an hour later, when you have to start work. | |

I would definately have to say Let's Work. Probably because I am a funk addict...lol But that song just captures the party aspect, along with other things. Plus the blaring bass just make it unbreakable. We Gets Up is pretty crunk to, but I would have to say Let's Work on this one. | |

Just curious: those who chose We Gets Up, how old are you?
Cuz Let's Work was from Controversy, and an update of Party Up w/da fonk! I say this because in LA in the 80s, KDAY was 'da station. Let's Work was I think the first song by Prince played on what's called an urban station since Soft & Wet and I Wanna Be Your Lover, when everybody thought a woman was singing! Don't take offense...the fact that you made that comparison let's the rest of us fogies know that we are not wrong in our love & respect for the man...but damn, how can you dis Let's Work that way!?
