Just seen it too. What a performance! Sooo funkkyyy! I love that song..its a grower. Never realised how big Chance Howard was! HUGE! (Fat Chance haha!). The tour sounds really exciting and different, even if it is the hits, we all love them deep down especially if they are played in a "newer way".
Rhonda's bassplaying and Johns drums stood out. Cool outfits all round 2.

i watched it and the performance was good. Very funky. I hope Prince comes back with a track like that. It is 'real' music'. The interview was short but cool. He said' Damn, Mel Gibson....what are you doing after the show? Mel says 'Dancing'. Prince says, 'Oh want to catch a movie or something?' (Made me wonder if P wanted some one on one time with Mel to discuss his religious convictions and and maybe to go see the film with Mel).

Leno asked about the tour, in the round, Prince said bring your kids along...blah blah.

He said they want to bring real music back..Leno asked his influences, he says 'James Brown, Earth Wind, Sly' etc.

All in all, Prince seemed pumped, happy, funky and coool.

Cool performance... not sure about the gimmicks (fat bloke shaking his ass, and the dollar bills being blown onto the stage etc) since it is supposed to be about the music, but I enjoyed the performance. Seeing Prince meeting Mel Gibson was pretty funny too. Also funny how no one even pretends not to be plugging their latest (movie, tour, album, whatever) anymore. That "service announcement" bit during Musicology seemed a bit tacky

Still, really enjoyed hearing the song, I hadn't heard it before.
