first i was gonna take the kids to see this, then i thought, no, better not do that, so i was gonna go alone, then i thought, ummmm, no i dont think i could handle it either --- the story itself we all know, yes, however, i personally think that seeing it up on the big screen could be to much for me to handle -- so i will see it at home when its out for rent nod

Prince is a Jehovahs Witness and they apparently are not supposed to comment on such issues.....Prince used to comment about the crucifixion though saying that Jesus was not put on a cross but a stake. It is my opinion that LW's have just made their own version of more documented and supported stories.....Are 1000 scholars incorrect?.....Maybe.

Prince may not like the movie, even tho he dedicated two songs to the event, due to his newly-found views. But the JW faith does not, to my knowledge, deny the Passion. It denies that the method of Jesus' execution is accurately portrayed in the traditional Gospels.

I havent seen the movie, but what will surprise people is that Gibson is a redneck racist pig. Being an Australian, we get to hear all his diatribes against the lower classes and disadvantaged people such as Aborigines. His political views verge on the facist whilst in Hollywood he tries to come across as nice as pie. His views are outdated which shouldnt come as a surprise as he is a devout right wing Catholic.

Hmmm...I wanna see it,dont kill me with ur comments, but I believe the story and I wanna see what the movie looks like even though I cringe when I think about someone putting nails through anyone's hands...but I dont think Mel Gibson is racist...I saw the interview and I think if he was racist he would have came right out and said certain things but he was so focused on not affending anybody. But u never know-I dont know 4 sure and neither does anybody else so...

If mel was being so authentic as to have subtitles, he could have made jesus a little more authentic - i.e. darker skin and kinky hair....

Gibson's view of Jesus is no different from artistic renditions of Jesus for centuries. That doesn't excuse the inaccurate depictions of a Europeanized version of Jesus, but it's not as if Gibson's Jesus differs from Christians' visualizations for over a thousand years.

mmm....whether its a stauros or cross...who cares...the end result is the same...y so many wars over basically the same things....different interpretations from the same words.....ppl need 2 focus on what they have in common....not whats different.....p said it all saying that.....and it is too easy 2 call some1 a racist....can the white male species disagree with another 'colour' species just because he doesn't agree? Y does it always come back 2 race??? I am white....and I don't agree with a lot of things.....the colour of yr skin doesn't affect me....the way U 'R' may affect it...but I can assure u it isn't because of yr colour....hell a political storm is brewing here in new zealand because 1 party leader said he believed that 1 sector of new zealanders (the indigenous maori) was getting treated differently than the rest....he wanted 2 see ALL new zealanders being treated equally!!! U know what he has been labelled - - a racist!!!! how dare he say that things have gone too far.....betcha didn't know that maori believe they own the air and seabeds in new zealand..I thought we were all EQUAL!!!! isn't that what we r? so Y the big racial storm.....because a white guy said it.....sh-t, whats the point...damned if u do and damned if u don't.....sometimes I wonder whats it all 4.....hope musicology is released soon....the party time in sydney last year with prince is starting 2 fade from memory....its all going grey again sad .....BTW the format 4 the new tour - if anything like sydney 2003...is his best yet!!! a powerful band...I am jealous he probably won't come down this way again 4 a long time.....11 years...saw him in 92 and 03...and still he hasn't played in my country (NZ).....although sydney was a better venue!!
