Before the 1999 album I don't own any of Prince's albums prior to the 1999 CD, but I do have the hits/B sides CD. Do I still need to purchase Dirty Mind, For U, Prince, or the Controversey CD? It's debatable because the Hits CD has several songs from those albums. Everyone keeps on saying the Dirty Mind album is so deep. What do u guys think?...am I missing some great music? | |

I'm assuming that you liked the songs from those albums that were included on The Hits CD? If you did, you must run out & get them now!!!!

You need to have the 7 minutes album versions of Controversy and Do Me Baby so get that album. Dirty Mind should be in every rock music collection - that simple. ...cause FACE said so!!! | |

Brotha if u are really hardcore like your profile says u need to own those CDs. Even the songs contained on the hits b-sides have been edited. Prince songs should never be edited. He's the kind of artist that introduces new elements into songs up to the last note. | |

Buy Dirty Mind and Controversy immediately. If you've got a couple of extra dollars buy the The Times self titled debut and What time is it. If you like 1999 you will enjoy these. The Time songs are silly, but if you liked Under the cherry moon you'll get it. Prince is Morris and Morris is Prince.
