Robert Randolph has a very tight band (awesome bass player & Randolph is very good on the pedal steel), but it's also hard to say anything bad about Prince's current band (Rhonda is excellent & John Blackwell is as amazing to watch him play as it is to hear him).
That's a difficult question, so I'm not going to answer it If I want your opinion, I'll beat it outta ya!

That's a difficult question, so I'm not going to answer it Maybe they should have an old fashion battle of the bands and find out. If Robert Randolph wins he gets the club keys and all.. "New Power slide...."

no one is funkier than prince in his prime. but that robert randolph has one high energy funk band. randolph's energy is higher, but not as tight as prince's band.

That Robert R and the Family Band is sooooo exciting!!!
BUT.....when i visited the website and listened to more songs...and watched some videos everything began to sound the same.... That's the difference with Prince....he does it all. So...how's everybody doing?

Robert R and the Family Band are on their way but Prince and the NPG are otherworldly tighter.
A good natured battle...I'd pay good money to see/hear that. Who ever said Prince has lost it - has lost it. The Kid's still got game!

Well the family band smoked P at the Grammys, and that Leno performance wasn't funky at all so.....
I find myself askin' a few questions like, how can P kill a tight combo like Rhonda/John B/Renato (no energy tonight) and WHY are there three keyboard players in the band????? Oh well, I just have to be content that there ain't no other guitar players in the band, for now. Stormbringer [This message was edited Fri Feb 27 0:20:52 2004 by thebige] No Sonny T?

First time I saw RR I thanked P. He's touched so many musicians.
