If the album is gonna drop on the 29th of March then maybe the single will be out b4?

I don't think this album is gonna drop on March 29.... the Musicology section at the club opens on March 29... the album itself sounds a bit up in the air at the moment as far as the who/when of it's release.

Yeah I doubt the album will be in stores then, Prince hasn't even gotten a major label behind it yet.

I agree, this guy is in a world of his own. How do you give away a cd to everyone who buys a ticket, what happens to your album sales then? And a concert in the round? Why shoot a video if u have no ditribution deal. The guy is high on purple juice!

Don't get me wrong. I completely agree that Prince needs new, good management. I feel that these issues addressed were actually very good moves and may be the moves of new good management. Who knows. With what follows, i'm not trying to talk down to anyone here. But...

Issue 1:Through a record deal, Prince gets no more than $5 a CD (and that is being Xtremely generous.) With the cost of concert tix being at leat $60(and that is being Xtremely conservative), his share of the royalties that are being lost are next to nill. As a musician, Price is concerned with how many people hear his music...not what it reaches on Billboard.

Issue 2:A concert in the round. Lovesexy was a concert in the round and arguably one of his best tours to date. Maybe I don't understand your question or complaint here, help me out.

Issue 3:The rerason he shot a video with out a distribution deal is that the cost of a video is paid by the artist anyways within a reocrd deal, and if he shot it beforehand, he would have a product to shop around to the record companies besides just the album. A pre-packaged deal so to speak. It is a high quality video as well and is probably impressive to the record companies and they probably appreciate the move. The see he means business.

Maybe I misunderstood your complaints. Get back to me is I wasn't clear or mis-addressed your issues.

Many have assumed (including me) that Prince already had some type of deal worked out.The concert may also be a way of marketing to the record companies as well.
