Also interesting is the way they spelt judgement day on the back of 1999-The New Master...go check it out if yo have it..I know you can spell it judgement OR judgment day, depending on where you live ( USA or UK ) but jugdment day ??? At least on my version it says so.

Yup. The track listing on the back of my copy of NPS is all messed up. I listen to that album so infrequently, I didn't even notice this fact until a month ago.

Not to forget the travesty that is "Saxaphone" on the cover of NEWS.

sounds like the first batch had the typo, then they corrected it for subsequent runs.

Isn't this because The Good Life (Big City Remix) was originally going to be on the NPS album as track 6? I know I've read this before, and if you read the back cover (and listen to the corresponding rap on the song NPS) it fits right there between Shoo-Be-Doo and Push It Up.

Mine has the 'typo', btw. I ordered mine from Amazon when it first came out.

I'm almost positive that I remember hearing that the first pressing was messed up but the rest were ok. However, I just recently purchased the New Power Pak with New Power Soul, Come 2 My House and GCS2000 and that copy of New Power Soul also had the same typo on the back cover. I'm guessing that there is a warehouse full of these cd's with the typo somewhere!

My copy of Rave Into The Joy Fantastic says "Unto" on the spines. I think that it was changed after the first pressing.

Interesting to note that Prince was selling Rave Into at the last Celebration for $15 bucks, with no artwork whatsoever. I'm sure that the CDs were supposed to be thrown out by the company that fucked up the packaging, but Prince probably said "Hold on just one minute there... I gots an idea!".

Now Anxiety, you know very well there will come a time, maybe next winter...maybe late some night this summer, where you'll be listenin' to Freaks on This Side and makin' some nasty-ass cottage cheese concoction. wink

I've actually gotten to the point where I've been REALLY INTO the NPS album. That's how deep my sickness runs in my filthy, filthy blood.

Interesting that his worst CD's (NPS, rave and 1999 TNM) all have these sloppy mistakes.

Ummm...Rave Un2 and Rave In2 are different albums. In2 is a remix album and most of us received it free for joining the NPGMC.

But it was also for sale at The Celebrations...
I got a "Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic" without the error on the spine that I got through the club and one bought at the celebration (bought by a very sweet MPLS resident) which has the error on the spine ("Un2" intead of "In2" and has the tracklisting for "In2")...

I got this cd the morning of retail release with the error on back:You know how Prince sings that entire back cover during the title track? Where he sings "'The Good Life Yeah, we'll be livin" is where the the track # screw-up is, so it's probably NOT a screw-up at all! Rather, "The Good Life" was deleted after the packaging was all printed up.

"I be layin'phat claims to the booty, phat claims to the Newpower Booty"...

My CD insert (that has the spines) for Rave Into has the correct track listing for Rave Into (with the remixes and Beautiful Strange). It's just the spines that have the title Rave "Unto".

It's the same piece of paper and has the sheep on the opposite side. NPG Records, no catalog number in a Jewel Case.

The Booklet is correct.
