I'd like to enter a new definition of Musicology into the English language

mu·si·col·o·gy ( P ) Pronunciation Key (myz-kl-j)
1. n. The historical and scientific study of music.
2. adj. Overrated; overhyped; a letdown. i.e. "I liked it, but it was a bit musicology", "Don't see the movie, it's totally musicologic."

What do you say we send this to the Oxford people?

Seriously, what did y'all think of Musicology? I found it boringology, averageology, like a New Power Soul-era b-side. Basically the one guitar riff and a basic beat, not particularly moving lyrics. I know he can do better than that.

It's no Kiss, but it's a good, solid, fun track with some nice funk to it.

I really don't get why it has no catchy chorus though.

You'd think Prince would realize how vital that is for a single.
The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

"You still wanna take me to prison...just because I won't trade humanity for patriotism."

Or how vital that is for a song called "MUSICOLOGY".
You are not my "friend" because you threaten my security.
