Prince has lost the Rock in his Role! If he would just play in the rock manner he used to - it would be all good. no need to curse or hump the stage - just incorporate some stankE rock edge to some new cuts . . . jeeze, it's pretty simple! who's w/ me here??

Having seen him on the ONA tour in London I would have to disagree. His performance is markedly different to the younger Prince but the man is over forty for god's sake. Watching him play Whole Lotta Love, 1+1+1 is 3 and other great tunes proved that he still rocks. The fact that he has moved into a more mellow, jazzy era doesn't mean that we won't see more of the side you like. Hold on and see what the man throws up next....

Just curious...which songs are you referring to? Cuz the songs I remember him rocking out to intially (so much so that Mick Jagger thought he would be a good opener for them and...George Thorogood at the LA Coliseum in 80 or 81 I think). So he's not playing I wanna be your lover. He's playing songs off Dirty Mind and possibly Controversy. Either way, he's wearing those bikinis, trench coat and thigh high stockings. And oh yeah, Foo Fighters have a hit w/Darlin' Nikki...20 years later.

Also wondering if you saw the Grammys.;.I was happy yet sad (mostly cuz I was so jealous of Beyonce) but then he did a solo and ... you know.
