Hey '78-'95 fans- it's 2004 what are you doing on this website?

Go sit on the front porch on you rocking chair and talk about the good ol' days:-)

Prince locked his place in music history by 1988 and had nothing left to prove. Everything since had been icing on the cake. So now it's a question of do you like your frosting in vanilla or chocolate?

Example: Paul McCartney. His legend was set in stone by the time The Beatles were done. He'll be remembered primarily for that. However, that doesn't mean that I need to hate on the work he did after. Did Wings match the impact or urgency of The Beatles? No, but how could it? Furthermore, who cares? Live and let die past dwellers, it's 2004.

Prince made music between 1978 and 1995?? I thought NPS was his first album!!! eek

All I know is, I hope that new chick he had playing guitar on the Tavis show works out. She looked a little awkward, though. What's her name - Wendallonia or something?

Easy for you to laugh at the new fans, isn't it? Or to take one single example and make it a general stance for you to laugh at....

FiveFootNine-

I understand what you are doing here. You are here to insult people and pick fights. Well done. Sorry for being a dick.

Besides the 80's and 90's there are only 6 years of Prince albums to pick favorites from versus 20 years.

5 ft 9 how old are you? Judging from your geeky self righteous crusade about "the good ol' days" I would have thought you'd be more mature. Again I apologize for being a dick, and I'll try refrain from calling you a grade school taunt. Butthead. Sorry.

You still didn't answer my question if Prince was done for you after '95 what are you doing here? It's not that I don't want you around-you are funny as hell and your graphics rock. I just feel bad that you haven't been satified since 1995.

snapz

are any of the remaining prince fansites dedicated to one era? no.

since the answer is no, should you be making such a divisive remark for the sake of self-righteousness? another no.

should people be booted off of a fansite just because they happen to like one era of music or another? no.

do i think this thread's worn out its welcome? yes.

do i believe that people should put more thought into creating threads such as this, without taking things so damned seriously and basically putting others down for what they like? another yes.

am i locking this thread because of all of the above? you bet. lock
